Forever and a Day is my favourite of the Lucky Harbor series so far, I have enjoyed the previous books but Forever and a Day had something that little bit special and that something was Doctor Josh Scott.

Josh is an overworked ER doctor, juggling his late father's medical practise with family responsibilities as a single dad to Toby his star wars mad son who prefers to bark rather than speak and his angry 21 year old sister who is wheelchair bound after the accident that killed their parents. As a result, Josh has no time in his life for fun or romance until Grace agrees to be the dog walker for his son's hyper active pug puppy.

Grace has ended up in Luck Harbor after walking out of a well paid job in which her boss wanted "extras" from her. As the adopted daughter of high flying super intelligent parents Grace has spent her life trying to meet their high expectations of her. Without full time employment Grace has been making ends meet modelling for the senior citizens art classes and delivering flowers so when offered the dog walking job by Josh she grabs it with both hands.

I don't think it would be possible to read Forever and a Day without falling a little bit in love with Doctor Josh, he's such a good guy. Both Grace and Josh have the weight of family responsibilities heavy on their shoulders, both want something different in their lives but they needed each other to let go of the old responsibilities and focus on what is really important- Toby, Anna, the friends they have in Lucky Harbour and each other.

With regular updates from Lucky Harbor regulars such as Lucile and her face book page, Mallory and Amy bonding with Grace over chocolate cup cakes there was plenty to laugh about in Forever and a Day. Jill Shalvis certainly knows how to write stories that are both heartwarming and smouldering hot, I absolutely loved it.

Thanks to Netgalley and Grand Central Publishing for the opportunity to read Forever and a Day.
